***May 25th UPDATE***
Exective Board Meeting will be held on 6/3/2020 at 7pm at POST 159. Mask are strongly recommened. Six foot of seperation will be provided. Meeting will be held in the lower hall.
Attention all Post 159 Members and Guests. The Chincoteague American Legion Post 159 will not be open , or host our annual Memorial Day service during phase one of towns re-opening schedule.
This delay in opening of Post 159 is a direct result of the additional requirements (outlined in the TOC Restaurant Guidelines) placed on local business which include outdoor seating only (Post 159 does not have any outdoor seating) and more than one employee is required to be working (one to cook food and one to serve, collect money, etc.). Post 159 only has the resources and services to employ one employee per shit.
We all look forward to these additional constraints being lifted as we progress through phase two and three of the town’s re-opening plan.
Stay Safe and we hope to see everyone real soon!
For God and Country,
American Legion Post 159

The Auxiliary asks that you encourage the American Legion Family to please donate needed supplies for the Troop Support Boxes. Lists of needed supplies have been widely distributed and a supply donation box prominently placed in the Legion hall. Once a year the Auxiliary endeavors to send our community service members a Christmas package from home to show our appreciation. This year the Auxiliary will bake 50 dozen homemade cookies to go along with the supplies. The supply items are not expensive and can be easily purchased at a local store and are truly appreciated by our service members.
